President Mugabe's sister who has been in hospital since 2010 is now critically ill

President Mugabe yesterday revealed that his only surviving sister, Bridget, was critically ill and set to undergo surgery at a local hospital. Addressing mourners at the burial of former Mashonaland West Governor and Resident Minister Cde Nelson Samkange in Zvimba, Cde President said his sister was experiencing breathing problems.

 Bridgette has been in hospital for more than three years is now critically ill.
Mugabe said the nation whould pray for her as she might be coming to the end of her life. Bridgette was admitted at Parirenyatwa Hospital in 2010 after she collapsed at the burial of her sister, Sabina at the National Heros Acre. She has never left the hospital.

“Ndanga ndakateerera vanachiremba. Sisi vari kuchipatara. Vanachiremba vanga vachiti zvinenge zvavamba kunetsa. Kufema kwacho kunenge kwava kunetsa. Saka vanga vachikumbira kuti vaite tumaoperation twavangaite here, ndikati itayi,” he said.

“Zvikanzi kana mozobva ikoko kuma4, mozopfuura nekuno.
“Saka hameno kuti zvichafamba seyi. Sisi vanenge vaakuzorwarisisa kuhospital. Tinongorambawo tichinamata, tichiti Mwari kana vachitibatsira votibatsira. Kana rasvika zuva rake rekumutora hatingarambi,” he added.
